How do we make students fall in love with STEM from an engineering point of view? How can teachers propel STEM education in the classroom?
Dr. Woo will introduce different ideas and methods to engage students in learning STEM, such as competitions and workshops that can be replicated in a classroom setting. The popular Underwater Robot Competition is also a great opportunity for both teachers and students to get hands-on experience in building a robot on their own, and learn problem solving skills during the process. Teachers can also get some inspiration for STEM education from a diverse range of activities organized under STEM@HKUST, which is a joint effort by a group of enthusiastic and innovative faculty members at HKUST aiming to support teaching and learning of STEM subjects in local schools.
