Starting from the 2017/18 school year and by phases in three years, the Education Bureau (EDB) provides each public sector ordinary primary and secondary school with a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to take up the leadership, management and coordination roles to support integrated education. To enhance the professional capability of SENCOs, the EDB organizes a wide range of professional training and networking activities. This session focuses on introducing the SENCO duties and the core theories and practical tools of the professional development course for SENCOs. The sharing by the SENCO provides insights into how theories learnt are being put into practice.
